Scott and I celebrated Valentines Day the weekend before(just went out to eat), so on Valentines the kids and I did some fun things. We used Grandma Sorenson's craft stuff to make homemade valentines...
And then the kids helped me make these red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. You baked the bottom and top as seperate pieces and then they hold together by the little frosting filling in the middle. Eating one of these is basically like eating 2 cupcakes. They were a lot of work(the recipe made a TON!) but the kids had fun and that's what matters.
The following friday, I guess last Friday, we had great light jacket weather. David spent the day at his cousins house and I went out with Parker and Sydney.
Sydney was picking an apple out of the box to snack on and I asked her to smile...love her!
She loves watching the trucks roll down the driveway.
Then last Saturday we decided to take our family to the ocean. It was cold and windy but we REALLY needed to get out and do something different as a family. And of course the kids loved it. We'll definitely be heading to the beach more as the weather warms up.
David was kinda funny, walking around holding his hood so that it covered one whole side of his face from the wind.
Mt. Baker in the background...
Scott was in his water proof work boots...
This was during Parker's nap time so he fell asleep on Daddy.
At the playground up the path from the beach. We only played here for like 2 minutes because we were ready to be in the warm car again.
Then this week we've had snow dumped on us again. The kids and I made a good size snow man yesterday but I haven't taken any pictures yet.

those are some super cute you have there!
What great looking valentines crafts and treats. You are very crafty.
What cute pictures of your kids. I'm glad you guys were able to spend sometime together as a family. I always say family time is quality time.
I just finally caught on to the link to this blog from your old one. Wow, I'm slow! I wish that we were near the ocean. You're so lucky!
I made my collagues on my blog with Photoshop Elements. If you have the program, here's what you do: give pictures a simple border, drag them into a new 9x9 file and move them as you like, save as web image (low res), then upload it to Flickr to post onto your blog. Feel free to ask me more questions if needed. Good luck! :)
