As I said in the last post we spent a week in McCall, Idaho a couple weeks back now. It was the best week I've had in a long time.
I got to do this...
Scott got to do this...
We got to play with my family on the boat, around the camp fire, on the beach, and games around the table.
We got to enjoy the sunset while in the middle of the lake...
It was pure heaven. Sydney, David, and Parker all agreed.
Sydney went right to her Dad in the water the first day. So brave. She loved being tossed in the air, until he tossed her this high...
David was a bit obsessed with the swing behind the cabin. When not down at the lake that's practically all he wanted to do. Luckily he found many willing pushers in his uncles. J, David, and Steve all pushed him A LOT.
Scott was in heaven being able to go fishing every morning. He took David every time but Sydney only went a couple times. Notice mommy was still in bed when they left and unable to do Sydney's hair...poor girl.
Grandpa showed them his classic way of building sand castles.
Parker mostly enjoyed sitting in his little beach chair next to mom in the shade when we weren't out on the boat. Here he was loving on the baby with hugs for several minutes. It was too adorable!
Scott celebrated his 29th birthday while we were there. It was low key like he wanted. Just a little trip on the boat to town for ice cream, and then opening presents. I got him a big fishing net which he thought was pretty cool and put to good use, and Ticket to Ride, which we played that night with everyone.
This year I was very happy for J, who Parker warmed up to almost instantly. He got the bad treatment from Sydney last year, but this year you can see she loved him.
Thought this would be a fun picture. Didn't know at the time what Parker looked like. lol
My kids love their grandparents. Here Sydney's just squinting.
And cliff jumping...J, David, and Dad off the 30 footer.
And look at my hilarious husband! I love him. :)
Towards the end of the week I finally took Parker into the water, and he loved it. Sorry I didn't do it sooner, but holding him like that isn't too appealing right now.
Sydney taking a break from the water and warming up with grandpa.
Hanging out at the cliffs...
Annalise and Steve were able to join us the last weekend and unfortunately I didn't get many pictures of them. :( Just this one.
The last night we were there we stayed out in the boat late while people wake boarded/surfed on the calm water. Julia, Clarissa and I enjoyed sitting in the front(though Clarissa tried wake boarding!), freezing (well Julia was, I had my own little oven!) and chatting. It was great. David stayed up too so he could throw pine cones with my sister's dog Pi on the beach afterwards(dogs aren't really allowed on the beach so that was the best time). David LOVED Pi. Which is so funny to me because at home he's like terrified of dogs. hmm.
McCall = Heaven on earth

How fun! It is still fun to watch when your kids are having a great time.
I enjoyed looking at all of these pictures and reading through everything. You do great posts.
McCall is one of the best places I have ever been to. I would love going there again sometime.
