Camera, Job, Kids; Updates

First up: I still can't find our camera. Am I majorly bummed? YES. I did, however, get some new film in the mail today that I'm really excited to try out on my SLR(which I did a little today with the kids outside).

Second: If you haven't seen my random status's on Facebook then you don't know this: Scott got a great job offer from Boeing, has accepted it, and they are now doing background check/drug tests(oh no!haha) and things like that. We are SO happy to finally have a job, and one we feel really really good about. And to be able to stay close to family and in the northwest. Woo! And if you didn't read the post a while ago about why we're not taking the job in Illinois after all, and are wondering about it, then scroll down and read it. lol.

Third: Details on the kids(so I don't forget).
David- He's our sensitive guy. Very shy to people he doesn't know, or when the spot light is put on him(like in Primary at church). Very sensitive to "mean people" in movies. He doesn't like the little mermaid or beauty and the beast or anything like that that has a mean person or people or animal. He's very enthusiastic about everything. I love it, it makes me happy. He acts more and more like a teenager with his own ideas and opinions, and he's only 4! He regularly says, "Mom you're beautiful." We try to be careful about how we say things or get after him. Tears well up in his eyes faster than anyone I've ever seen.  He likes to color with black, brown, or blue mostly. He likes to color it so dark you can't even see what he was coloring. He loves to play music on the key board, do silly dances sometimes, jump off things. Terrified of dogs. He LOVES to run(that's my boy!), a lot of the time pushing his big Tonka truck in front of him. He has the cutest voice, loves to sing songs. He's always begging everyone to tickle his back or face. He always wants it to be his turn to pray. And he LOVES to help me bake or cook. I try really hard to let him help me instead of shooing him away. It works. :) He is just such a sweet boy whom we love SO much!

Sydney- She is our daring and not quite as shy child. She is also very enthusiastic in general. She's talking more and more, but has also developed a stutter. From some research I'm pretty sure she'll grow out of it and that we need to just wait for her to finish what she's saying(that can take quite a while sometimes) and not finish the sentence for her. I guess this happens sometimes right before some kids big jump in vocabulary. It really is kinda cute too though. :)  She has kind of a scratchy voice except when she talks to Parker. Depending on the situation that is either fierce growling for him to stop whatever he's doing or is a high sweet tone like she's talking to a baby. She loves to play with her doll house, put out a dinner with her fake food and dishes, and build towers. I'm also told that of all the kids in her nursery class in church she's the only one who knows how to put together those train track sets and that she'll tell the other kids how to do it. She loves to dance and I can't wait to put her in ballet in a couple years. She has really started to be creative in her prayers where she recently needed help with everything. She says the cutest things in the cutest ways. It's just SO adorable! She loves playing with mom's hair(um, yes!) and likes for me to do her hair too. She loves to be close to me or he Dad. She also loves to bake/cook with me. She likes to sneak goodies off the counter and hide under the table to eat them. She's very good at drawing for her age(at least compared to David). She loves to draw faces and circles with dots in the middle of them. She is rather fidgety and has a hard time holding still or looking at you for very long. She has a wide variety of facial expressions, a lot of which are pretty hilarious. She is just so dang adorable, we loves her SO much!

Parker- At 15 months he is extremely shy(I have a feeling it won't be this bad when he's Sydney's age though). He has started giving people glares that I'm sure are supposed to make them go away but really it is just so hilarious and adorable. He gives me hugs!!! He's the first one to give me real hugs, and tight ones at that, at this age. It melts my heart. He has started being a little more defiant in his ways, letting us know when he's not happy about something(usually while we're eating) by making a short squeal and hitting the air. He LOVES to play with David and Sydney and feels left out sometimes I think when they tell him to go away. Poor guy. He absolutely loves to have books read to him, especially ones with animals in them, and also loves to just randomly turn pages. He likes to push buttons when I'm specifically telling him not to. Go figure. He LOVES to open and close drawers and cabinets. Most of the time not touch anything inside(not always). He's really good at walking now and is practicing going fast and running away from me giggling. He HATES it when I change his diaper. He screams and cries every time. But not for his dad. So not fair seeing as how I do it most of the time! When he hears music he likes to "sing" along with it. Every night I sing him a primary song before laying him in his bed and he sings right along with me(a nice monotone sound over and over). He is THE pickiest eater I've ever seen, as I've talked about before. I seriously don't know what his problem is. He doesn't like anything! It's driving me crazy. Cheerios, PBJ's, cooked carrots, crackers, and fruit get old real fast. Especially when I'm already making a separate dinner. I'm sure he'll get over it eventually though. He's been cutting three molars recently, poor guy! He has been a bit more fussy lately because of that. I can't wait for it to be over. Though I'm pretty sure it hasn't been as bad as it could be. His vocabulary is mostly "Dada", but recently he's said a couple times, "Mama", and I love that. ;) I'm having a hard time not thinking of him as my baby, something I need to change seeing as how we have another one comin'! He's the cutest little guy ever and we love him SO much!

Love the updates- kids grow up so fast. And if it makes you feel any better, Emma was stuttering a lot for awhile. But then it just went away and she had a HUGE leap in her vocabulary. Her doctor said it will probably happen again in the future when she has another leap in vocabulary.
